We’ve all been there – you find some things that you’d like, add them to your cart and then when you get to the checkout page, the shipping is ridiculous! The reality of shipping charges is that everyone has to pay them – no courier company ships for free. Large companies like Amazon can offer free shipping simply because they are SO big – they can consolidate 3000 orders onto one truck, to one location, saving transportation costs and then they can then bury the minimal shipping costs they do have within the product price. At TKF.coffee, we are not shipping 3000 packages each day. We must rely on the courier companies to offer us fair rates for the volume we sell – we then pass this cost directly onto you, without any upcharge. We are constantly researching ways to reduce our shipping costs, but here are a few tips that you can use now:

  1. Order more than one bag of coffee at a time. When you order one bag of coffee, the shipping charges are set to a minimum rate to cover the distance from our place to yours. The actual shipping charges only slightly increase as the weight of the item increases, so order a whole month’s worth of coffee! It isn’t roasted until you order it, so you know it will still be fresher than the grocery store and you won’t run out!
  2. Take advantage of TKF.coffee’s free shipping threshold. If you order more than $120 from our store in a single purchase, we will pay for the shipping for you!
  3. Until we can find a better shipping rate to offer you for purchases under $120, we have instituted a flat rate of $15 per parcel. If you get 4 bags of coffee in one shipment, it’s really like the shipping is only $3.75/bag – that’s not so bad, right?
